Construction is planned to start at the East St./Lincoln St. intersection and work west. Local traffic will primarily use Baldwin St. or Brown St. as the detour, but will vary block-by-block as the project proceeds.
This is a lengthy project and the crew appreciates your patience. The speed of the project will depend on weather and other factors; it is anticipated to end by the end of October. Once construction nears completion, we will post that date.
Unfortunately, this will depend on the water and sewer mains connected to your house. We do not have a definite timeline for any portion of the project.
This project is to update water and sewer mains along with curb, gutter, sidewalk, and storm sewer.
The plan is that while one section is being worked on the mailboxes will be taken up and stored. The contractor will put up a mailbox bank that the Postal Carrier can deliver to. The Contractor will reinstall at the end of project.
Notices will be placed on the City's website and social media at least one a week.

Yes. The Contractor is required to allow emergency crews to proceed to addresses.
Not at this time.
The Contractor will coordinate garbage pickup with the garbage collection service provider and property owners.
Pedestrians will have access to all businesses downtown. If you are driving to the business area, you will need to park in the Municipal Parking off of Buckman St. and can use the alley to access the business fronts. Parking may be available off of Brown St. for those businesses on the south side of the street.
